Tim out and about in Whitehorse
Tim was out today testing his gear to make sure he would be warm enough in the -40C temperatures he will soon be facing. He did a little run around town to make sure he is truly prepared for the days ahead.
Huskisson Long-Course Triathlon
Alison raced the long-course triathlon on the weekend- 13th March. It was a 2km swim, 83km ride, 20 km run. Alison completed in 5hrs 54 mins- broke the 6 hr mark - woo hoo - with a great ride and swim. This is a 37 min PB and shows where a year of dedicated training and listening to a coach will take a person. Below are photos showing off the new bike, the beautiful scenery of Huskisson and some action shots.
Beautiful
Before the swim
The washing machine start of the swim. I went out from the front and stayed there.
The day before at registration- the new bike!
Looking strong- last lap, last hill :)

Blue Mountains Australia North Face 100km UltraMarathon
On 15th May 2010, Tim completed his first ultramarathon. It was an unbelievable experience culminating in an awesome falling star around 1 am as they traversed the loneliest part of the steepest mountain. Alison time 19hrs 5 mins; Tim's time 19hrs 58 mins. He just made the cut-off:)
Arizona Grand Canyon Marathon November 2010
Altitude Run 8000 ft
This was Tim's first altitude run. It was a difficult run made even more so because of the need to quickly adjust to the altitude and by the just 1 week recovery from completing the Kalahari desert run.
